Appointment and Medication Policy

Follow-Up Policy

How It Works

If a patient does not have a follow-up appointment scheduled, or cancels/ no-shows their appointment on the same day the computer system will automatically place a temporary hold on the patient's account. This automated process is not a punishment—it's a clinical safety mechanism designed to prevent medication refills from being processed without proper follow-up care.

01

Medication Safety

Why This Is Important

Many medications require regular monitoring, lab work and routine check-ins. Skipping or delaying appointments may result in unmonitored side effects, missed lab abnormalities or gaps in care that could lead to serious health risks. The account hold ensures that no prescriptions are filled unless the patient is up to date with necessary follow-up or testing. This helps protect your health by making sure medications are prescribed only when it's safe to do so.

Important Notice Regarding Account Statements

Due to the increasing cost of postage, our system automatically places a temporary hold on accounts that have received two consecutive statements without a payment. This measure helps us manage mailing expenses and encourage timely account management. To remove the hold and continue receiving statements or services, please make a payment or contact our office for assistance. Thank you for your understanding.
